Colorado Springs - Local Food Work Group
Welcome to the Local Food Work Group website! The Local Food Work Group started in February of 2009 as part of the Green Cities Coalition overal mission to support healthy and sustainable communities.
Our Mission
It is the mission of the Local Food Work Group to promote access to and expansion of locally grown food through education and collaboration.
Goals & Priorities
We are currently in the process of defining our Goals and Priorities, both short and long term. If you wish to participate in the Local Food Work Group, please contact our lovely Deb Carr, or check the Calendar for the next scheduled LFWG meeting.
What we are considering:
Food Justice - we are looking to create a Food Policy Council that works in conjunction with the city and county governments.
Earth Day - Local Food Awareness: Creating a seed give-away as a fundraiser for (Peak to Plains/GCC?)
